Santa Ana

Jose joined Santa Ana College the summer of 2016. He’s served as Co-Head Athletic Trainer since joining the athletic department.

Jose graduated from Long Beach State in 2006 with a degree in Kinesiology- Athletic Training and began working in a physical therapy clinic. In the summer of 2008 he joined the UC Irvine Sports Medicine department, overseeing nationally ranked men’s soccer and men’s cross country. In the spring of 2011, he took over the nationally ranked baseball program and women’s cross country. Jose left UCI in early 2013 and joined the now defunct Chivas USA of Major League Soccer as the Head Athletic Trainer. He returned to UC Irvine in the summer of 2014 where he over saw the women's basketball program and women’s cross country.

While at UCI, he was one of the instructors for the Intro to Sports Medicine class. He also served as a Preceptor for Chapman University’s Athletic Training Program.

Additionally, Jose has worked with the Huntington Beach Unicorn Rugby Team, the OC Lawman Football team and Strikers FC Academy. Jose earned his Master in Sports Medicine in 2009 from Long Beach State.

Jose is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association and the College Athletic Trainers' Society.
