Santa Ana

Winnie Voong joined the Santa Ana College Athletic Department as Co-Head Athletic Trainer in February of 2021.

Prior to coming to SAC, Voong served as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at the University of Southern California from 2016-2021. At USC she worked primarily with the women’s basketball and men’s golf programs, in addition to spending some time with the women’s rowing, men’s and women’s track and field and cross country teams.

Before USC, Voong was as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Cal State Northridge (2014-2016) and UC Riverside (2010-2013), providing care to Division 1 athletes across multiple sports. While at CSUN and UCR, she also served as a preceptor for the CSUN and California Baptist University Athletic Training Programs, mentoring athletic training students.

Voong completed her Master's of Science in Athletic Training at California Baptist University in 2010 and was awarded "Most Outstanding Student in Athletic Training" honors. She earned her Bachelor's degree from UC Irvine in 2007, where she started as a student intern in the UC Irvine Sports Medicine Department and was later hired on as a staff member upon graduation.

Voong is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association and the College Athletic Trainers' Society. She currently resides in Arcadia, CA.
