SANTA ANA- The Dons lost an Orange Empire Conference game to visiting Saddleback College 95-66. The loss drops the Dons to 6-15 overall and 1-4 in the Orange Empire Conference while Saddleback improves to 19-2 and 5-0.

Freshman Taurean Oram scored the first four points for the Dons to open the OEC Game.  During the first half, Taurean Oram totaled 11 points with four defensive rebounds against the Gauchos. Sophomore QV Johnson had six points, three assists and two steals to keep the Dons afloat in the first half.

In the second half, QV Johnson scored eleven more points including a dunk in the beginning of the third quarter. Sophomore Jason Walker from Western High School scored nine points in three point jump shots for the Dons.  Freshman Anthony Squalls came out strong in the second half and scored seven points. 

In total for the game, the Dons had 33 rebounds and 12 assists. The Gauchos took home the Orange Empire Conference win 95-66.

Men's basketball will play again in their sixth Orange Empire Conference game on Wednesday, Jan. 25, at Cypress College at 7 p.m.
