Santa Ana College Volleyball Takes Orange Coast to Five Sets

SANTA ANA- Dons volleyball takes the win over Orange Coast College at 3-2.

In the first set, the Dons won 25-21. Sophomore Viridiana Serrano , freshman Mikelle Taylor, and sophomore Dayne Bogosian all had aces throughout the set. Freshman Nekea Strong had two kills and Mikelle Taylor led the set with three kills.

In the second set against Orange Coast, Santa Ana College fell by two points at 25-23. Mikelle Taylor led the Dons with seven kills in the second set. Freshmen Lily Reissmueller and Hannah De Grasse each had a block assist for the Dons.

Sophomore Haylie Slater had two aces for the Dons in the third set, but it wasn't enough to defeat the Pirates and the Dons lost the set at 25-23.

The Dons bounced back in the fourth set and beat the Pirates at 25-21. In the fifth set, the Dons scored the first two points. The Dons pulled through and won the fifth and final set 15-13 and the game at 3-3.
