SAN DIEGO - The Dons opened the 2012 season at the Palomar Invitational at Guajome Park in San Diego on Friday, September 9, finishing seventh out of 10 teams.

Sophomore Alicia Sotelo led the Dons with a 17th place finish, turning in a time of 21:44, followed by Cecilia Chavez who finished in 29th place with a time of 22:34.

Three spots behind Chavez was Laura Ramirez who finished 30th in a time of 22:34. The Dons final two scoring runners were Bianca Gonzalez in 34th place (23:12) and Yulma Gonzalez in 37th place (23:21).

Next up for the Dons is the Southern California Preview held at Fairview Park in Costa Mesa on Friday, September 14. Race time is 10:00 a.m.
