Dons Finish 7th in Host Brubaker Invitational at Irvine Park

ORANGE - The Dons hosted 11 teams at the 2012 Brubaker Invitational held at Irvine Regional Park and took seventh place, third amongst fellow Orange Empire Conference opponents.

Leading the way was Quetzalin Tepayotl who finished 22nd overall out of 88 runners with a time of 20:26. Following her was Alicia Sotelo in 25th place with a time of 20:35.

The next Don runner to cross the finish line was Cecilia Chavez who took 52nd place with a time of 21:45, just ahead of Elisa Mendez in 54th place (21:49).

Rounding out the Dons runners were Laura Ramirez in 60th place (22:18) with Yulma (22:20.6) and Bianca (22:20.7) Gonzalez coming in one after the other in 62nd and 63rd place, respectively.

Mt. San Antonio College was the overall team winner followed by Pasadena City College in second place. Palomar College claimed third place ahead of El Camino College. Santiago Canyon College rounded out the top five with Riverside City College grabbing sixth place.
