COSTA MESA - The Dons will be represented by Quetzalin Tepayotl (pictured above), Alicia Sotelo and Cecilia Chavez this Saturday at the 2012 California Community College Athletic Association Cross Country State Championships.

Tepayotl was the 11th individual runner to qualify while Sotelo followed in13th and Chavez 15th. The three Dons were among 19 individuals in Southern California to qualify as runners from non-qualifying teams that finished in the top 50%. As a team, the Dons just missed out of qualifying by six points.

Tepayotl finished in 61st place in the Southern California Regionals, giving her the 11th qualifying spot, followed by Sotelo in 67th place. As the final qualifier for the Dons, Chavez crossed the finish line in 81st place.
