SANTA ANA- Over the weekend the Dons cross country team traveled to Santa Clarita to participate in the 2016 Mustang Challenge with NCAA Division 1 and Division 2 four-year universities.

The women's cross country team placed 12^th out of 19 teams and the men's team placed 6^th out of 35 teams. Two time All-American athlete, Toni Lopez placed 36^th out of 141 participants. During the men's 8K, Awal Hussen placed 40^th with Dalton Aviles right behind him in the 41^st place out of 121 athletes.

The Dons cross country team will race again on Friday, Oct. 21 at the Titan Invitational in Fullerton.
