SAC Sports Medicine Internship
As a participant of the internship program, the student receives the opportunity to work directly with staff athletic trainers, physicians, and student-athletes of SAC. Under supervision, the intern will learn about everyday operations, immediate care, and continual maintenance of the health of our student-athletes. Interns in the program have the ability to learn to recognize, evaluate, and treat athletic injuries in addition to being exposed to many opportunities to acquire skills that will be beneficial in all health care fields. Our sports medicine interns typically pursue post-graduate education in medicine, athletic training, exercise science, and other allied health care professions. Our students usually major in kinesiology and biology but we accept students from all degree backgrounds.
