SANTA ANA - The men's and women's track teams opened the 2015 season by hosting three Orange Empire Conference schools. Competing alongside the Dons was Golden West College, Saddleback College and Riverside City College.

The top competitor for the Dons was Cecilia Chavez who took first place in the 400 meter hurdles while also helping the Dons 4x400 meter relay team to a second place finish. Maria Sanchez took second place in the javelin throw while Arlene Lazema took third in the 200 meter dash. One more top performance belonged to Azahalea Vazquez who took third in the 800 meter run.

On the men's side, Geovany Garcia led the way with a fourth place finish in the 3,000 meter run and Edward Chanon claimed fifth place in the 1,500 meter run. Also in the 3,000 meter run, Adrian Delgado finished eighth and Cutberto Vazquez eleventh in the field of 18 runners.
