HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. – On Friday, Apr. 7th the Santa Ana College Beach Volleyball team took on Fullerton and Golden West College in a couple of Orange Empire Conference matches.

The Dons earned their third win of the season by defeating the Fullerton Hornets by a score of 4-1.

Haylie Slater and Kassandra Murillo were in the second slot and won their match 2-0 (26-24, 21-18) to put the Dons on the board. Next up was Destinee Blue and Miranda Moisa, who came up with a 2-0 (21-19, 21-12) victory in the third slot. And in the fourth slot, Dayne Bogosian and Filana Duvan combined to edge their opponents 2-1 (22-20, 12-21, 15-6).

In the Dons match against Golden West the Slater and Murillo duo came up with another victory, but as a team, the Dons fell to the Rustlers by a score of 4-1.

With the split, Santa Ana is now 3-9 overall, and 1-2 in conference play. The Dons will compete again on Friday, Apr. 14th against Saddleback College at the Irvine Valley College sand volleyball courts. Game time is set for 10:00 AM.
