HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. – Mikelle Taylor and Viridiana Serrano were the lone Don competitors in the 2018 CCCAA SoCal Regionals hosted at Irvine Valley College on Friday.
After placing second in the Orange Empire Conference tournament, the pair was matched up against Grossmont's fourth team in the first round of the 32 team tournament.
The Dons started off slow with an 8-3 deficit in the first set but settled in to take the match 2-0 (21-16, 21-19) and advance to the CCCAA State Championships for the second straight season.
The CCCAA State Championships will be held at West Valley College from May 10-12th.
