HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. - The Santa Ana Beach Volleyball team will send three pairs to the 2021 Orange Empire Conference Beach Pairs Championships after a shortened regular season.
As a team, the Dons finished with an 0-6-2 record after falling 5-0, 4-1 to Cypress College in their last contest.
Jordan Ninmer and Emily Knowles will represent Santa Ana as the fourth seed in the OEC tournament. The pair will be the highest seed for the Dons and will wait for their opponents from the results of a match between the 13th and 20th seeds.
The duo of Frida Arreola and Aubree Macdonald have earned the eighth seed and will match up against the ninth seeded Lauren Adamo and Mary Hicks of Cypress.
And the third Santa Ana team will be the 13th seeded Courtney Gomez and Karen Salazar. They are set to face the 19th seeded Rachael Street and Haley Reid of Orange Coast.
The OEC Beach Pairs Championships will take place on Friday, May 21st at the Huntington Beach Newland Courts. Play will begin at 10 a.m. and it will be a single match elimination tournament.
