No. 6 Santa Ana Baseball Bounces Back, Defeats No. 21 Saddleback 13-4

SANTA ANA, Calif. - No. 6 ranked Santa Ana Baseball snapped their four game losing streak with a 13-4 win in game three of the series against the No. 21 ranked Saddleback Bobcats (23-14, 9-9) on Saturday afternoon.

After falling behind 1-0 off a solo shot in the top of the first, the Dons (25-12, 12-6) began to put together some quality at-bats to get their offense going.

Nathaniel Williams drove in the first run of the game with an RBI single through the left side to score Ken Tomitaka in the bottom of the second inning. The Dons then added a couple more runs in the third thanks to a 2 RBI double over the centerfielder by Kian Sanchez

From that point, SAC was fully in control and rallied to score 10 more over the following two innings to push their lead to 13-1.

Big hits from Williams and Sanchez helped set the tone but it was Garret Allen who had his most productive game of the season with two hits, five runs batted in and a pair of walks.

On the mound, Andrew Parker got the start and allowed just one while striking out three runs over three innings. Spencer Johnsen earned his sixth win of the year after punching out two in four scoreless innings.

The Dons will now prepare for the final week of the regular season. They are set to face No. 12 Riverside City (25-12, 12-6) in a three game series starting on Tuesday with the winner of the series taking second place in the Orange Empire Conference standings.
