Dons Drop Season Finale to Irvine Valley 69-54

SANTA ANA - The Dons closed out the 2015-16 season with a 69-54 loss to visiting Irvine Valley College in an Orange Empire Conference game. The loss give the Dons a final record of 5-21 and 1-11 in conference while the Lasers improved to 15-14 overall and 3-9 in conference.

Sean Steinke gave the Dons their only lead of the game when he hit an early three-pointer just over a minute into the game before Irvine Valley took the lead for good on an Isaiah Milan layup a little over a minute later. The Lasers would go on to take a 29-20 lead into the half before outscoring the Dons 40-34 in the second half for the 69-54 final score.

Well over half of the Dons offense came from Roger Hamel and Noah Wellington as the two players combined for 35 points. Hamel had the slight edge at 18 points while Wellington had 17 points. Milan led the Lasers with 18 points and Zach Harvey added 11 points off the bench.
