SANTA ANA, Calif. – The Santa Ana men's basketball team hosted the No. 2 ranked Fullerton Hornets in another Orange Empire Conference matchup on Friday night.
In their first game against each other, the Dons got off to a quick start and held the lead for the first four minutes. But the Hornets didn't let that happen again as they went on an 8-0 run to start the game on Friday night.
The Dons fought back to pull within three (10-7) a few minutes later but couldn't keep up with the tempo of the Hornets, falling 103-73 after 40 minutes of action.
BY THE NUMBERS
The combination of Fullerton's efficient shooting numbers (52.7 FG%/37.1 3P%/85.7 FT%) and the 50-35 mark on rebounding in the Hornets favor, led to the loss for the Dons.
