Santa Ana Men’s Soccer Hunts for More Banners in 2022

SANTA ANA, Calif. - The storied Santa Ana Men's Soccer program is looking for another historic season after collecting its 27th Orange Empire Conference Championship and advancing to the second round of the CCCAA SoCal Regionals last season.

The Dons finished the 2021 season with a 10-6-6, 6-2-4 record and fell to the eventual state champions in playoff action. SAC hopes to repeat as OEC champions and then get over the hump to capture their eighth state championship.

Santa Ana should have a good shot at doing just that with several impact players returning. Most notably, defender Antonio Wall returns to lead the Don back line after being voted to the OEC First Team in his freshman season. Goalkeeper Jorge Cortes is back in goal for SAC following an impressive freshman year that landed him on the OEC second team.

The Dons will play another tough schedule in 2022 with eight of their opponents having clinched playoff berth in 2021. They'll open by hosting East Los Angeles College on Friday, August 26th at 4:00 p.m.
