Jazmine Johnson and Ashley Whisler Receive Post Season Honors

SANTA ANA - Following the 2013-14 season that found the Santa Ana College women's basketball team advance to the second round of the playoffs, two of the instrumental players received post season honors for their great seasons.

Both Jazmine Johnson and Ashley Whisler were named First Team All-Orange Empire Conference while Whisler was also named Third Team All-State. Whisler represented the OEC's leading scorer while Johnson finished third.

Whisler was also finished 11th in the state with her 20.5 points per game while leading the state in free throws attempted (252), free throws made (231) and free throw percentage (91.7). Whisler's 20.5 points per game placed her fourth all-time in the SAC record books while she shattered the school's free throw percentage record.

Johnson finished the season with a scoring average of 15.5 while also averaging nine rebounds per game and 2.6 blocks per game, the latter two stats were team highs. Johnson led the OEC in blocks per game while finishing third in rebounds per game.
