Dons Open OEC Competition with 7-0 Loss to Santiago Canyon

SANTA ANA - The Dons opened Orange Empire Conference play with a 7-0 loss to Santiago Canyon College at home. The loss drops the Dons to 4-2-0 overall and 0-1-0 in conference while the Hawks improve to 5-0-1 overall and 2-0-0 in conference.

Brooke Mays scored all three of SCC's goals in the first half with scores in the 15th, 26th and 32nd minutes. Kylie Klein, Krista Talamo, Alondra Guzman and Renee De la Torre had the four second half goals.

Joey Martinez had six saves for the Dons in 90 minutes while Natalja Juarez and Casey Pulido each played a half for SCC with neither keeper making a save.

The Dons remain home for their next OEC match as they host Cypress College on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m.
