The Santa Ana College (SAC) women's basketball team lost to visiting Cypress College 63-53 in an Orange Empire Conference game. The loss drops the Dons to 5-14 on the season and 0-5 in conference while the Chargers improve to 13-8 and 4-0.

The Chargers opened the game on a 14-4 run in the first 10 minutes behind 10 points by Sloane Turner. The Dons were able to cut Cypress' lead to seven at 27-20 on a Janelle Flores lay-up before the Chargers took a 31-20 lead into the half.

Cypress extended its lead to as many as 21 points in the second half before the Dons whittled the Chargers lead to just 10 at the end of the game. Anna Nguyen led the Dons with 14 points despite missing time with foul trouble.
