Santa Ana Beach Volleyball Drops Two in Doubleheader against Mt. SAC and SBCC

WALNUT, Calif. - The Santa Ana College Beach Volleyball team hit the road once again on Friday to face Mt. San Antonio and Santa Barbara City in a non-conference double-header.

SAC started the day against Mt. SAC where they managed to get on the board with Andrea Sanchez and Leslie Leon pairing up to win 3-2 (22-20, 14-21, 15-8) in the four spot.

But the Mounties swept matches one through three while getting a forfeit in the fifth to ultimately take the win.

In match two, the Dons took on a tough SBCC team and fell by a score of 5-0. Once again, Sanchez and Leon went to five sets in the four spot but this time could not pull out the win.

Kassandra Zavala and Angela Hill represented the No. 1 pair for the Dons in both matches and went 0-2 on the day. Taylor Vagana and Stephanie Ozokwo split time between the two and three spots but also went 0-2 while Kaiden Raif and Myrandah Zepeda rounded out the team, falling 0-2 as well.

The Dons will continue their season with another road match on March 3rd against El Camino at 12:00 p.m.
