SAC Beach Volleyball Falls to Fullerton and Palomar

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. - Santa Ana College Beach Volleyball hosted Fullerton (6-2, 2-1) and Palomar (2-5, 1-1) at the Newland Courts in Huntington Beach on Friday morning. 

The Dons (0-12, 0-4) dropped their first match to Palomar by a score of 4-1 and followed with a 5-0 loss to Fullerton in match number two. 

In their match against Palomar, Chelsea Asciak and Kassandra Zavala partnered as the No. 3 pair to earn the lone win for the Dons in three sets. The two freshmen fell 14-21 in the first set but battled back, taking the next two by scores of 21-15 and 15-12. 

Against Fullerton, Santa Ana was swept by the Hornets with all three matches going just two sets. 

The Dons forfeited the fourth and fifth sets of both matches due to lack of players. 

Santa Ana Beach Volleyball will continue its season on Friday, April 9th when they match up against two more Orange Empire Conference opponents in Orange Coast and Cypress. The first match is set to start at 10:00 a.m. at the Newland Courts.
