IRVINE, Calif. - The Santa Ana Beach Volleyball team finished up the 2022 season at the Orange Empire Conference Pairs Championships at Irvine Valley College.

With a trip to the CCCAA SoCal Regionals on the line, the Dons sent three pairs to compete in the tournament. Unfortunately, none of the pairs managed to make it out of the first round. 

Andrea Sanchez and Chelsea Asciak saw the court first for the Dons and took on a pair from Cypress College in the play-in round. Although the duo made some good adjustments in the second set, they eventually fell 21-2, 21-14. 

The second Don pair to play was the 17th seeded Angela Hill and Kaiden Raif. They went up against the 16 seed from Irvine Valley and dropped the match by a score of 21-3, 21-4.

Lastly, Kassandra Zavala and Taylor Vagana represented the Dons as the 10 seed while they matched up against the 23rd seeded team from Orange Coast. The pair finished up their season with a 21-11, 21-15 loss, ending Santa Ana's hopes of a regional berth.
