SAC Baseball Downs Cerritos 13-4 for Sixth Consecutive Win

CERRITOS, Calif. - With another impressive offensive performance, the Santa Ana College Baseball team made it six straight, defeating Cerritos (2-5) 13-4 on the road on Tuesday afternoon.

The Dons jumped ahead from the start with three runs in the first inning to give their starting pitcher Brady Ashworth plenty of run support. They added four in the four in the fourth inning and six more thereafter to run away with the win.

Ashworth picked up his second win of the season after striking out six over six innings of work while surrendering just one run.

Santa Ana's offense showed a ton of patience at the plate as well as timely hitting as they drew 12 walks on their way to 13 runs.

Outfielder Christian Thompson had himself a day with three of those walks to go with three runs batted in two hits and a couple runs while catcher Even Leibl posted a team high three hits with two RBI.

The Dons will return home on Thursday to host the Falcons at 2:00 p.m. in game two of the series.
