SANTA ANA, Calif. - Santa Ana College Baseball was ranked No. 1 in the first edition of the California Community College Sports Information Association (CCCSIA) State Top 25 Baseball Poll that was released on Thursday, February 17th.
The Dons have dominated opponents thus far and remain the only undefeated team in Southern California with a 10-0-1 record after defeating College of the Canyons (3-7) 5-1 on Thursday afternoon.
One of the keys to Santa Ana's success has been their patience at the plate. The Dons lead the state with 85 walks on the season which has allowed them to hold the top spots in runs scored (138) and runs batted in (120).
SAC will take their undefeated record on the road for the next four games at Oxnard (2/19), Canyons (2/22) and then No. 4 ranked Sierra (2/25-26).
