SANTA ANA, Calif. - Selena Hernandez and Sophia Escalante were named to the 2023 Women's Basketball All-Orange Empire Conference (OEC) teams following the end of the regular season.
Hernandez landed on the first team after averaging the second most points in the OEC and the fourth most in program history (single-season) with 20.5 per game. The freshman from El Dorado High also led the OEC in three-point percentage at 39.2 and broke the single game program record for threes in the season finale with nine against Golden West.
For the second consecutive season, Escalante earned All-OEC Second team honors. The sophomore guard out of Kennedy High averaged 11.6 points, five rebounds and three assists in her last season with the Dons.
