The Dons wrestling team had seven placers at the 2015 CCCAA Southern California Regional Championships held at Mt. San Antonio College this past Saturday. The seven wrestlers will represent Santa Ana College in next weekend's CCCAA State Wrestling Championship at Fresno City College.

Andrew Gomez and Eric Roberts were the top-placers for the Dons as each wrestler took third place in his respective weight class. Gomez finished third at 141-pounds while Roberts wrestled at 165-pounds.

Three wrestlers finished in fifth place with Tristan Steinman taking that spot at 149-pounds while Arman Fayazzi joined Roberts as a placer at 165-pounds. Jose Chona also finished in fifth place, claiming that spot at 125-pounds. Ty Freeman took sixth place at 184-pounds and Landon Myers finished seventh at 157-pounds to round out the Dons finishers.

The State Championships get underway Friday, December 11 and wrap up on Saturday, December 12 at Fresno City College.
