SANTA ANA, Calif. - The Dons (2-9-2, 2-6) picked up their second win of the season after Irvine Valley (2-12-1, 0-8) forfeited their scheduled match on Friday due to injuries.
Santa Ana should be well rested as they head into another Orange Empire Conference matchup at home against Golden West (6-8, 3-5) on Tuesday.
In their first game against the Rustlers, SAC fell in a shootout by a score of 5-3. The Dons were behind 4-0 before Diana Hernandez put two goals away in an 11 minute span followed by Wendy Millan's goal in the 90th minute.
Today, Santa Ana will try to take what worked late in that match and use it for the full 90 minutes.
