Cross Country Hosts 2014 Brubaker Invitational; Women Finish Eighth and Men Finish 11th

ORANGE - The men's and women's cross country teams hosted several schools from Southern California today in the 2014 Brubaker Invitational at Irvine Regional Park. The women's team turned in an eighth place performance before the men finished in 11th place.

In the women's race, it was Azahalea Vazquez across the finish line first for the Dons as she took 13th place. Next up was Jazmin Avila in 27th place before Yesenia Velez crossed the finish line in 57th place. Adriana Falcon finished 81st, and shortly thereafter was Xiomara Duenas in 85th place to round out the Dons racers.

In the men's race, Pedro Antunez took sixth place, representing not only the first Santa Ana runner, but also the first Orange Empire Conference runner. Following him was Adrian Delgado in 51st place while Adrian Hernandez finished 65th. Rafael Godinez came across in 85th place with Alfonso Anguiano following in 91st place as the Dons fifth scoring runner. Carlos Otinano finished 99th, Jorge Diaz finished 116th and Miguel Peralta finished 120th to round out the rest of the Dons team.
