Santa Ana Falls to Fullerton in OEC Play

SANTA ANA, Calif. – Santa Ana softball was defeated 8-1 by the No. 6 ranked Fullerton Hornets in Orange Empire Conference play on Friday afternoon.

The Dons were down by just one (2-1) going into the seventh inning but saw that deficit grow to seven after the Hornets rallied with a few hits combined with a couple costlySAC errors.

A scoreless of the seventh gave Santa Ana its fourth loss of the season while dropping them to 1-2 in OEC action.

Jordan Kyles had the best day at the plate for the Dons, recording two of her team's four hits. Madelyn Holzberg went 1-2 with Santa Ana's only RBI and Natalie Crawford accounted for the last hit as she doubled in the second inning.

Emily Rosas threw all seven innings, allowing four earned runs (8 total) with two strikeouts.
