SANTA ANA, Calif. – Angela Rodriguez has committed to Ottawa University (AZ) to join the Spirit after playing two seasons for the Santa Ana College women's basketball team.
The 5'9 sophomore out of Sonora High gave the Dons a presence in the paint and averaged 4.3 points and 3.9 rebounds in her time at SAC.
"During her time at SAC, Ang gave her all to her team and faced a lot of adversity, but always came out on top," said Santa Ana Head Coach Flo Luppani.
"We are very proud of Ang and excited about her future at OU. Her work ethic is getting rewarded now and Ottawa is getting a tremendous teammate and person."
The Ottawa Spirit compete in the Golden State Athletic Conference at the NAIA level. In the 2018-19 season, the Spirit finished with a 10-15, 4-14 record and placed eighth in the GSAC.
