Santa Ana Women’s Soccer Has Three Sign to Next Level

SANTA ANA, Calif. – Santa Ana women's soccer had three members of its 2019 team sign to four-year schools.

Sophomore defender Karla Zetina signed with the University of La Verne after playing two seasons with the Dons. Zetina was one of the key pieces for the Santa Ana backline, starting in 36 of 39 of games she played in. The University of La Verne Leopards compete in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference at the NCAA Division III level.

Lauryn and Leyna Wood have also signed their letter of intent, committing to the University of California Riverside. Midfielder Lauryn Wood put up 10 assists with nine goals in two seasons while earning First Team All-Orange Empire Conference, All-Region and All-State honors.

Leyna Wood scored an OEC high 24 goals in 2019 and was named OEC MVP. She also earned All-Region and All-State honors, becoming one of the most accoladed Santa Ana women's soccer players in the history of the program.

UC Riverside is a NCAA Division I school and compete in the Big West Conference.
