SANTA ANA, Calif. - Santa Ana College Men's Basketball collected their third win of the season as they defeated the College of the Desert Roadrunners (1-5) by a score of 74-54 on Friday night.
The Dons (3-3) shored up their defense to hold the Roadrunners to a shooting percentage of just 31.7 while forcing 21 turnovers, snapping a two game losing streak.
Ja'Von Maxwell came off the bench but was the best player on the floor in this one as he finished with 23 points, nine boards and two assists.
Kaden Minter didn't have his usual shooting touch but affected the game in other ways. The freshman from Mater Dei recorded his third double-double of the year with12 points and 15 rebounds.
And fellow freshman West got into double-digits once again with 11 points to go with six rebounds, five steals and four assists.
The Dons also got some good minutes from Karson Roberts, who went for five points, five assists and four steals in his first appearance this season.
SAC will now have 11 days to prepare until they hit the road to face Grossmont College on Tuesday, November 28th at 5:00 p.m.
