Minter and Franklin Sign at NCAA Division II Schools

SANTA ANA, Calif. - The Santa Ana College Men's Basketball team is sending two members of its 2023-24 team to the next level with Kaden Minter signing a letter of intent with Concordia University-Irvine while Court Franklin announced his commitment to California State Polytechnic University, Humboldt.

After leading the Dons in points per game at 19.5 and rebounds per game with 8 during his freshman season, Minter will head to Concordia with three years of eligibility remaining. The sharp shooter out of Mater Dei High School showed his versatility and basketball IQ by adding 1.8 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.1 blocks per game.

He will join a NCAA Division II Golden Eagle squad that went 10-16, 7-13 in the PacWest Conference last season. 

Franklin is joining the NCAA Division II Lumberjacks after playing a big role for SAC in his first two collegiate seasons. The 6'6, 210 pound forward posted 7.5 ppg and 6.5 rpg while shooting 55 percent from the field. 

He is sure to add an inside presence for a Cal Poly Humboldt team that finished with a record of 6-21, 3-19 while shooting 44.4 percent as a team in the California Collegiate Athletic Association.
