Santa Ana Routes LA Harbor 4-1 for Third Win of the Season

SANTA ANA, Calif. – On Friday, Santa Ana men's soccer picked up their third win of the season as they routed LA Harbor 4-1 in a non-conference matchup.

The Dons found themselves up 1-0 at halftime after Gilberto Garcia scored his 4th goal of the season in the 44th minute. Garcia leads Santa Ana in goals and is tied for third in the state in the stat.

LA Harbor answered back in the second half, tying the game on a penalty kick that was nailed by Hugo Lemus at the 52 minute mark. But just eight minutes later, Abel Bautista broke free and scored the go-ahead goal on a shot into the lower left corner for his first of the season.

Santa Ana pulled away after Josh Castellon expanded the lead to 3-1 on a header in the 70th minute and Anthony Aguilar wrapped the match up with another goal in the last two minutes.

Goalkeeper Frank Aguilar finished the day with five saves, putting him at fifth in the state with 17 on the season.

The Dons (3-1) will continue their season on Tuesday when they go on the road to face a tough Taft team. Taft is coming off a 3-0 win against Allan Hancock on Friday, which gave them a 1-1 record.
