No. 13 Santa Ana Men's Soccer Shuts Out Saddleback to Earn First OEC Win of the Season

SANTA ANA, Calif. - The No. 13 ranked Santa Ana College Men's Soccer team collected its first Orange Empire Conference (OEC) win of the season with a 2-0 result against the Saddleback Bobcats (4-2-1) on Friday afternoon.

It was the first matchup ever against the Bobcats, who are playing in their inaugural season.

After a scoreless first half, the Dons (5-2-2) came out aggressive and broke through the Saddleback defense in the 59th when Paul Carrillo put a header into the lower left corner of the goal.

SAC scored once more about 10 minutes later as Jordan Bueno used his left foot to guide a cross from Mark Rayo into the net for the Dons.

The Dons held Saddleback scoreless for the last 20 minutes to earn their fifth win of the year.

Goalkeeper Pablo Rea recorded three saves on his way to his 3rd shutout of the season.

SAC will now take on the No. 1 ranked Fullerton Hornets in another OEC matchup on Tuesday. Game time is set for 3:00 p.m. at Santa Ana College.
