CERRITOS - The Dons made it to the consolation semifinals as a team at the South State Duals held at Cerritos College but ultimately went 2-2 in the tournament. Joaquin Collister's 4-0 performance and a shutout win stood out as highlights for the Dons.
After opening with a 25-11 loss to Cuesta College, the Dons bounced back with a 30-9 win over a team of assorted wrestlers before shutting out West Hills College 45-0. However, the Dons day would come to an end in the consolation semifinals with a 22-18 loss to Palomar College.
The Dons will get a second chance against Palomar as they host the Comets this Wednesday in the first conference dual of the season. That match will be held in Cook Gym at 7:00 PM.
