Ryan Fans 10 as Santa Ana Dominates Compton 17-3

SANTA ANA, Calif. –  Zach Ryan got the start for the Dons and cruised through six innings with 10 strikeouts, no hits and just one walk on the way to his first win of the season, as Santa Ana dominated Compton 17-3.

His offense picked him up by scoring three runs in the first five innings and then exploding for 11 more in the bottom of the sixth.

William Meissner, Juan Gonzalez and Raymond Villanueva all had three hits apiece and combined for three runs batted in. Bryan Leef brought in four on one swing of the bat, hitting the first grand slam for the Dons and his second home run this season.

Santa Ana also had four that came off the bench to contribute with hits. Adam Cendejas, Brayden Howell, Andrew Martinez and Drake Wood pooled together four hits, three runs and two runs batted in.

With the win, the Dons snap a two game losing streak and improve to 4-2 this season. Compton drops to 0-5 after the loss.

SAC will face Cerritos on the road on Saturday, Feb. 10th for a rematch of Tuesday's game. The Falcons took the first game by a score of 1-0. Game time is set for 12:00 p.m.
