SAC Baseball Announces Three Four Year Commits

SANTA ANA, Calif. –  The Santa Ana Baseball program has announced that three members of the 2018 team have committed to four-year schools.

Andrew Martinez The catcher from Cypress High will join the Cal Poly Pomona Broncos after two years with the Dons. Martinez led the team in batting average at .347 with 30 RBI's and two home runs. He was named to the Orange Empire All-Conference First Team following a breakout season. Cal Poly Pomona is an NCAA Division II school in the California Collegiate Athletic Association.

Bryan Leef B. Leef was tabbed to the First Team All-OEC Team for the second consecutive year while also playing his way onto the 2018 ABCA All-SoCal Team. In his sophomore season, he posted a batting average of .329 to go along with 37 runs batted in and conference best seven home runs. Leef will continue his education and baseball career at the University of Cumberlands (KY). The University of Cumberlands is an NAIA school that competes in the Mid-South Conference. Signing Photos

Cole Hoskins The Dons relied on their closer Cole Hoskins time after time during the 2018 season. Hoskins appeared in a team high 21 games, recording five saves with 35 strikeouts and an ERA of 2.55. The right hander from Tustin High has committed to Grand Canyon University, which is an NCAA Division I school in the Western Athletic Conference.
