Four Dons Named All-OEC Baseball First Team

SANTA ANA, Calif. - Four members of the Santa Ana Baseball team were named to the 2021 All-Orange Empire Conference (OEC) First Team following a second place finish in the shortened season.

Josh Haley was the lone Don pitcher to earn All-OEC honors after going 3-1 with a 3.29 earned run average and one save on the year. 

Joining him on the All-OEC first team was fellow returner Cedrick Perez who posted a .282 batting average with 13 runs batted in and three home runs while playing shortstop. 

Nick Lopez powered his way onto the team as he led the conference in homers and runs batted in with eight and 31 while recording the third best batting average at .380. 

And right fielder Griffin Selby produced all season with a .361 batting average to go with 17 RBI and two home runs, earning him a spot on the team as an outfielder. 

Santa Ana Baseball ended the year with a 15-12-1, 11-7 overall record, good for t-2nd in the conference standings and was ranked 12th in the state by the California Community College Sports Information Association (CCCSIA).
