SANTA ANA - The Dons continue to look for their first Orange Empire Conference victory after falling to visiting Santiago Canyon College 3-0. The Dons fall to 2-7-1 on the season and 0-4-1 in conference while the Hawks remain unbeaten at 6-0-2 on the season and 3-0-1 in OEC play.

The Hawks recorded two goals in the first half, 10 minutes apart from each other to take a 2-0 lead into the half. The first goal, scored in the 33rd minute, came on a failed defensive play. SCC's first attempt was cleared at the goal line but right to Jenny Konishi who scored on an empty net.

On the Hawks second goal of the half, Konishi slipped a shot past the Dons goalkeeper that appeared to be rolling wide of the far post. However, Andrea Najera caught up to the ball before it rolled out of bounds and kicked it into the empty net.

The Hawks final goal came in the 52nd minute and it was Konishi's second goal of the match. Konishi scored the goal against an open net as she was set up on the far post by Sam Jones.

The Dons had a handful of scoring opportunities scattered throughout the game, but the best chance came late when Kristina Alatorre's shot on a direct kick rang off the crossbar in the 58th minute.

Despite allowing three goals, Priscilla Suarez continued to play well for the Dons as she turned away 13 shots in the game. Djuna Santoyo turned away each of the two shots she faced in 90 minutes for the Hawks.
