SANTA ANA, Calif. - The Santa Ana College Baseball team fell to the Glendale Vaqueros (10-4) in the first of their two game series on Tuesday afternoon.

SAC (8-6) played from behind the whole day after Glendale's Joey Craig led off the game with a homerun. The Vaqueros added two more in the top of the second before the Dons were able to respond.

Mikey Rocha got the Dons on the board in the bottom of the second with an RBI single to left field to score Austin Haller, cutting Vaquero lead to two (3-1).

After Glendale scored one more in the top of the third, Santa Ana came right back with one run in the bottom half on a Sebastian McSherry double and another in the bottom of the fourth as Christian Thompson singled through the right side to make it a 4-3 game.

The Dons scored once more in the fifth but could not keep pace as Glendale rallied for eight on 13 hits.

Brady Ashworth took the loss after going three innings and conceding four runs while striking out five.

Thompson led SAC in hits with three and was followed by McSherry and Rocha, who recorded two each.

Santa Ana will finish this series at Glendale on Thursday, March 2nd. First pitch is set for 2:00 p.m.
