SANTA ANA - The Dons won their second-straight win, both at home, with a 92-81 victory over visiting Cerritos College. SAC was forced to hold on late after building a 19-point lead at the half thanks in large part to hot shooting and strong defense.

The Dons (4-2) shot 62.5% in the first half led by Martin Kim with 12 points and Chase Miller with 11. SAC also forced 17 turnovers in the half, a statistic that came in handy as the Falcons (0-4) shot 57% in the first half.

The second half saw the Dons build their lead up to as large as 23 points with 9:54 remaining in the game but Cerritos managed to hang in late. While their rally came a little too late, the Falcons were able to get within single digits of the Dons in the final minute.

However, the Dons hit all four of their free throws after that point and held on for the 11-point win. Miller finished as the leading scorer of the game with 19 points followed by Terryn Large with 15 points, Cammie Lewis with 14 points, Kim with 13 points and Kevin Ramirez with 10 points.

In the loss, Cerritos had four scorers in double digits led by Andrew Torres with 13 points. DeAnthony Roberts and Anthony Holliday added 11 points apiece while Marquise Washington scored 10 points for the Falcons.
