SANTA ANA - The Dons extended their win streak to four games with a 1-0 victory over Fullerton College in an Orange Empire Conference game. The win improves the Dons to 11-16 overall and 6-7 in conference, just a half game behind Fullerton (16-12, 6-6) for third place.

The game was controlled by the two starting pitchers as SAC's Hattie Marshall (3-5) allowed just three hits and Fullerton's Brigid Ruiz (16-11) allowed four. Marshall also got a strong defensive performance behind her, to go along with her three strikeouts.

The lone run of the game came across in the fifth inning with Alexandra Hernandez scoring on a two-out single by Desiree Hernandez. Alexandra Hernandez reached earlier in the inning on a fielder's choice before going to third on a single by Karina Munoz.

Fullerton's best scoring opportunity came in the first inning when the Hornets put runners on the corners before Marshall induced an inning-ending groundout. Following that, the Hornets managed just one baserunner past first base for the remainder of the game.
