SANTA ANA, Calif. – The Santa Ana College Volleyball team is on the rise after going 11-11 overall and 6-10 in the Orange Empire Conference last season, which was a 10-win improvement from the previous season and the most wins in program history since 1983.

The Dons took sixth place out of nine teams in the Orange Empire Conference, which is widely considered the best conference in California community college ranks.

With the expected return of seven sophomores including Viridiana Serrano and Mikelle Taylor, who both earned All-Orange Empire Conference honors in 2016, the Dons have a chance to be even better this upcoming season.

The 2017 Santa Ana College Volleyball season will start with a scrimmage against Cerritos College on Friday, August 18th at 2:00 p.m. The two teams will match up again for the first official match of the season at Cerritos College on Friday, August 25th at 6:00 p.m.
