SANTA ANA, Calif. – With a three-game winning streak on the line, the Santa Ana College Women's Volleyball team hosted Saddleback College in its first Orange Empire Conference match of the season.
The Dons were competitive, but in the end dropped the match in straight sets to the Gauchos.
Mikelle Taylor led the Dons in kills again with nine for the match to go along with six digs. Destinee Blue came right behind her with six kills and four digs while Uchenna Ozokwo contributed with four kills and a couple of digs.
On the Saddleback side, Kendall Nolan and Mandy Sides combined for 21 kills and 10 digs to lead their team.
The Dons are now 6-3 overall and 0-1 in conference. They'll go on the road for their next match on Wednesday, Sept. 20th at Golden West College at 6:00 p.m.
