SANTA ANA, Calif. – Friday night's matchup with Golden West College would mark the beginning of a three-game homestand for the Santa Ana College Volleyball team.
Santa Ana was hoping to take advantage of home court, but couldn't come up with the win, dropping the match 3-0 to the Rustlers.
The Don sophomores tried their best to upset the number three team in conference, putting up solid numbers in the match.
Mikelle Taylor led with 12 kills and 12 digs, while Kassandra Murillo contributed with eight kills, three digs and two block assists. Dianna Nguyen also had a decent night with six kills, an ace and nine digs.
With the loss, the Dons fall to 8-11 overall and 1-9 in the OEC.
Santa Ana hopes they can turn things around in their next match on Wednesday, October 25th at 6:00 p.m. against Fullerton College.
