Kasey Hutton Steals Her Way Into the Record Books

SANTA ANA, Calif. – Santa Ana's Kasey Hutton has proven to be one of the most dynamic softball players in the state this year. With only a handful of games left, she leads the state in stolen bases with 44, breaking the single season school record of 42 that was set by the Dons assistant coach Alexandra Perkins in 2013.

Not only does Hutton lead the state in stolen bases but she is also fourth in the state in hits with 59 and 17th in batting average at .492.

"She is one of the most gifted athletes that I've ever coached at this level," Co-Head Coach Amber Grahlman said. "It's been a pleasure to coach her and I know she has a bright future ahead."

The sophomore from Mira Costa High School is majoring in communications and is considering attending the University of Illinois, UCLA, UCSD, LMU and Northwestern University.
