SANTA ANA, Calif. – The Santa Ana College Women's Soccer team started off the season by opening with a home match against Grossmont College on Tuesday afternoon. The Dons edged out the Griffins by a score of 1-0 to collect their first win of the season.
Sophomore Linda Frias scored the only goal of the match in the 18th minute while her fellow sophomore Karina Quintero was credited with her first assist of the 2017 season.
Freshman Goalkeeper Breana Martinez picked up the first win of her career with a shutout against the Griffins.
The Dons will head to Palomar College on Friday, Sept. 1st for their second match of the season. The match is set to start at 3:00 p.m.
