SANTA ANA, Calif. – There were plenty of opportunities for the Santa Ana College Women's Soccer team on Tuesday afternoon, as they hosted Golden West College in an Orange Empire Conference match.

The Dons couldn't capitalize on any of their eight shot attempts, making it the fourth straight game they have been held scoreless.

Golden West scored early with a goal off a rebound in the fourth minute. With the early score, Santa Ana had time to recover and change the flow of the game.

Don sophomore Jessica Figueroa went in at the half and provided a spark, getting to some balls and taking a couple of shots that were just off the mark.

Santa Ana had a late push but was unable to put a goal away, resulting in a 1-0 loss. They now hold an overall record of 6-7 and a conference record of 3-5.

The Dons will return home on Friday when they host Norco College at 3:00 p.m. in another OEC matchup.
